The Country Club of Roswell has a total of 13 tennis courts.  You can choose between three different court surfaces all 12 months of the year.  There are 4 traditional hard courts in the US Open color scheme, 6 Clay Hydro-courts (underground watering) and 3 ClayTech Courts (clay hybrid).  The Country Club of Roswell was the first club in the United States to install these ClayTech courts.  This surface allows you to play on a “soft court” surface without having to deal with the winter freeze problem associated with a traditional clay court.  The combination of these surfaces with the new tennis pavilion makes CCR one of the best tennis facilities in Atlanta.

CCR has a very active league program that is broken down by age, ability level, level of desired intensity and singles or doubles.  The Adult Tennis Leagues are extremely active and drive a large part of the tennis play.  CCR members are active in Atlanta Lawn Tennis and other USTA programs and organized league play.

Who is eligible to play in Ultimate Tennis Atlanta?

All men and women age 20 and above are eligible for ultimate tennis league play.  Ultimate Tennis provides singles, doubles, and mixed doubles league matches.  There are 13 different skill levels to choose from to match your particular playing level.

Why is it referred to as a “Flex League”?

It’s called a “Flex League” to emphasize the fact that you are given flexibility in the time frame you have to play your match.  Ultimate Tennis Atlanta provides you a schedule of your weekly matches but you and your opponent have the flexibility to decide which day and at what time to play your match.  Each season lasts from 5 to 7 weeks followed by 3 weeks of playoff matches.

 How does it work and how do I get started?

Do a Google search for “ultimate tennis”, then click on “Georgia”, then “Atlanta”.  Then click on “Get Started” and create your own personal account.  You will be given brief skill survey to complete that will insure you will be playing with and against other players of your skill level.  You will be placed on a team that plays out of a tennis facility in your area.  Your printed playing schedule will show weekly matches but a 2 week window to complete the match.  Ultimate Tennis has a state-of-the-art website that allows you to get instant match results, scout opponents, follow friends, report scores, and access playoff draws.

Special Pops Tennis is located in Roswell, Georgia, and was founded in 2005.  This nonprofit program is centered around tennis lessons for kids (children and adults) who have  intellectual disabilities.  The program’s main purpose, however, is to enrich the overall lives of these individuals by building self-confidence and self-esteem.  It’s much like summer camps in Atlanta.

Special Pops Tennis Executive Director, Jim Hamm, and his team of volunteers are now teaching over 600 children and adults how to play the game and, using tennis as a platform, they are also teaching important life skills for both on and off the court.  Being a contributing member of a team can make a huge difference in the quality of life of those less fortunate as well as the opportunity to meet and make new friends and go to new places.

What Exactly Is T2 Tennis?
